I know that some people will find it strange that we split up in Vietnam and regrouped in Bangkok a week later. But when you have two capable, independent travelers, one of which had such great memories of Cambodia from her first trip in 2004 and a need to relax on a Thai beach, the separation made sense. So Aaron made the trip solo, at his own pace, and saw the Cambodian highlights in less than a week. Angkor Wat will never fail to impress even the most tired and overstimulated traveler, paired with a quick stop in Phnom Penh to round out a worthwhile Cambodian solo trip.
